At OneHope, we value your partnership and are committed to protecting your privacy. We are glad you visited our website and want you to know that our site is a safe environment as you explore our content, sign up for more information, or even make a donation. Here is an overview of what you can expect during your digital interaction with us:

What information do we collect and how do we use it?

When you visit our site, we collect some non-identifying basic information. This includes total number of visitors, pages viewed, time spent on the site, referring websites, and other non-identifying information. We gather broad demographic information about what countries and domains our visitors originate from, and we use these analytics in order to improve our site and make your experience as smooth as possible.

As with most other Internet sites, our web servers utilize “cookies” to track a user’s activity within our site as well as record the IP address of each visitor. A cookie is a small data file that is stored on your computer and can be removed at any time.

A cookie contains a unique identifying feature that allows our computer to recognize you when you return to our site. The recorded IP address tells us where you visited from, but not any other personal and private information, unless you choose to share this with us by filling out and submitting a form on our site.

When you make a donation on-line, we ask for your name, address, phone, e-mail address, and credit card information. We use this information to process your donation and verify credit card data. We may contact you, if necessary, in order to resolve donation processing issues or other questions. We use your mailing address to send your tax-deductible receipt and to keep you informed about what we are doing in different parts of the world.

If you make a donation or choose to fill out a form on our site giving us your contact information, you may expect to receive our publications in the mail, as well as possibly be contacted by a team member via phone to see if you have questions or prayer needs. You can request to opt out from being contacted at any time, and we can always customize how much mail you receive to fit your preferences. Donor information collected both online and offline is never sold or shared.

Do we share your information?

We respect your privacy! We protect and do not share information we receive from our online givers.

We may disclose to third parties aggregate statistics regarding donations, but these statistics do not include personal identifying information. Information given may include: total number of donors, total amount of donations for specific periods of time or categories, and referring websites.

We use one or more third-party financial institutions to process our credit card transactions. They receive the credit card number and other personal information of our partners only to verify credit card numbers and to process credit card transactions in a secure environment.

We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf. We will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service and prohibit them from using online giver information for any other purpose unless the user has given specific permission to do so.

How do we provide a secure environment for online transactions?

Our online order processing system allows you to make safe donations and purchases. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect your information as it travels to our ordering system.

Our online credit card verification system is handled by a third party, which collects your name, address, phone, and credit card information in order to process your transaction. Their encryption technology offers an extremely high level of security. They also have state-of-the-art firewalls and other security technology in place to ensure the confidentiality of your transactions.

How do you contact us regarding your information?

We love communicating with you about our work around the world and exciting milestones in the ministry, but we completely understand if you prefer to opt out of these communications.

If you receive e-mails from us, you may unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of the email. If you wish to receive less mail, or none at all, please contact us at 1-800-448-2425. Please keep in mind that we can always customize how much mail you receive to fit your preferences.

When contacting us to change your status, be prepared to include any information that would help us identify you on our lists, such as complete contact information (name, postal address, telephone number, and e-mail address). Please understand that it may take a short amount of time to completely remove you from our lists, so you may receive one or two final communications. We appreciate your patience with this process.

If you need to make updates to your contact information, please contact us at any time so we can make the appropriate adjustments.

Please note that we reserve the right to make changes to this privacy policy without advance notice.
